My Box Art Design

1st December 2011
I have decided to mock up what is to be my final design for my Box Art to the game I have called Codename Baby. First of all I had original planned on calling the game Baby V, but with it closely resembling the Baby P child abuse case so i respectfully changed it to Codename Baby.
First I had to chose what Gaming format to design and because at the time of this I was playing mostly PC I decided on a Games for Windows box design and as my Concepts and research show I decided on a black back ground. This was because of the impact that black has on colours such as whites and reds thrusting images forward. Next I was placing the silhouette on the front and back of box in the correct place and also the correct size. This was a quick and easy decision due to it being in the centre and covering 66% of the page it covers the blank region of space and also will complement the Title heading and images that are planned.

After doing the basics i decided to add the character and the back drop. My Character had always been the easy part of my design as I had taken the style of a baby ninja for my main character (Vex). With this idea I had no plans to incorporate colour or even any distinguishing facial features with Vex, just a black, baby ninja, style shaping. Following my plan to have a shaded Vex, I also didn't follow the main ideals of where the main character should be placed on the Box Art. As in games such as Assassins Creed and Gears of War the main characters where place dead centre, where as i have placed Vex on the lower right of the page. This Gives me more space on the front to place the Game Title and the other images planned. Now has hard as I looked i couldn't find any Maison images that i would of been happy with to have and put on my box art until i found and unlikely solution. The House's of Parliament, well, just Big Ben and the smaller tower next to it! With this image in hand i decided to also shade it completely in black to make it blend in with the silhouetted back ground and do 2 images on the front and a complete mirror image on the back of the cover.Next was the most important part(in my opinion) the title font and design.

Next onto title fonts which was easier doing my concepts than actually deciding when i did it. I firstly I wanted to have the 'baby' part of the title as a 'alphbetical coloured abc' type toy but with the background and Vex remaining black I thought it would be good that the colouring would stay the same as the rest of the Cover. So with that in mind I the 'codename' part of the text was simple, it was always going to be in computer style text. Once added to the front I then added it to the side it didn't look complete so I added a tag line that will be on of the first lines that Vex will say. 'Nobody puts Baby in the Corner' this is a homage to the late Patrick Swayze and his famous quote from Dirty Dancing, not my favourite film but hey. I also added a Rockstar logo because I would love to work for/with them in the future and my future (lol) studio name.

the final part is what I found to be the easiest of all of this, the content of the back of my cover. I knew in my head that this was going to be the funniest part as I have seen hundreds of game box arts. With the game being set within a mansion I needed to find images relating to hallways/rooms that would be found in any big home. This is where I found an environmental artist by the name of Nicky Abbott who for their work on a University Level course redone parts of the original Resident Evil Mansion and here is a link to the youtube video that its from. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5M0_Pc-yCgM&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL. This is my ideal job within the computer games industry, and just to note Nicky Abbott has now been apart of the team that did The Haunted - Hells Reach. that image went in the top left of the back page and on in the middle right of the page i found a cg laboratory off Google images to show what the Doctors Lab might look like.  I added to hazard symbols that I found on www.cgtextures.com to hold the text that would accompany the game and faded them by 60% so once placed over the images wouldn't seem to cut corners off.

How to step up a Driving wheel with peddles for Xbox 1

OK first of all you check every things there
  • Peddles
  • Steering wheel
  • Games
  • Pre set up Xbox
Once all there connect the peddles to the steering wheel via the cable that looks very similar to a VGA cable remembering to screw in for extra security.

Once that is connected, insert the Xbox connecter attached tyo the steering wheel in to the xbox as shown.

Then simply turn on the machine and it automatically loads the driver so your now ready to enjoy.
